| Hello! Cool working mom of an awesome 12-year old in the Rosemont-Mount Royal neighbourhood, seeking ONE friendly house mate, ideally someone who works and/or goes to school. We live in a split level house and are offering 2 very nice, spacious unfurnished rooms with an attached half bathroom on the top floor. The rooms are recently renovated with new insulation in the attic, new ceilings, flooring and fresh paint. Feel free to use the second room as a living/gaming/workout room. The square footage calculation includes the rooms with their large closests and the half bath. My son and I have our bedrooms and main bathroom on the second level of the house so there is some separation between the bedrooms. Entrances, the basement bathroom with shower, basement dining table, basement laundry, the kitchen and the upstairs dining table are "common" spaces. In order for this living arrangment to work, you must be open to getting to know my son and I, and decent at communicating about sharing space. About us: I work full time and he is going into grade 8 and has a few extracurricular activities. We tend to be home after 5 PM and on weekends although we go away the odd weekend to visit people out of town. We have our own routines and habits and are a bit eclectic (he is a nerdy, creative gamer and I am an artist and mad gardener). We are fun and friendly and occasionally have pals or family over, which you are also welcome to do. We will be open to sharing food and hanging out occasionally if you want to, but we don't expect this on a daily basis. We will respect your privacy and expect that everyone makes a general effort to tidy up shared spaces. We are not clean freaks but try to keep things liveable! FYI, the rent is calculated based one 1/3 of the monthly mortgage + averaged cost of basic utilities. I will ask for a damage deposit of $375 and will be okay with a month to month agreement.
