| What: I am hoping to take a long internationally trip so I am looking to potentially sublet a basement suite in a house near Queen and Dufferin. The suite has its own separate entrance, bathroom, kitchen and two windows. It will come fully furnished with a bed, desk, office chair and IKEA closet. The kitchen comes with stove/oven, microwave, utensils, etc. Paid shared washer/dryer right outside the unit. . Price: $990 plus utilities (approximately $65-85 a month) When: Potentially middle of December 2024 or January 2025 to end of June 2025 - preferably for the entire or at least a majority of the period but the exact period is negotiable for the right subletter. Not available to be extended beyond June 2025. Note: 1. Private parking is not included but street parking might be available. A car is also not needed as the area is very transitable. 2. This is an older house with limited sound insulation and footsteps from above and flushing water can sometimes be heard in the suite. 3. For most the suite, the ceiling clearance is approximately 6"4 inches. However, there is a section where the ceiling juts out where the clearance is only about 5"8, which might require you to duck to get in/out of the washroom depending on your height. 4. I will be leaving my things in the suite while I am out of town but they will be boxed up and stored in areas inside the suite that should be out of the subletter's way. Due to the size of the space, there is no room for too many additional pieces of furniture. 5. There are stairs that goes down to the suite so it is not wheelchair accessible. 6. There is a backyard in which you can sit with the approval of the tenant above. There is a public library and free gym that can be used at the community centre three blocks away. Preference: single occupancy, non-smoker, no pet (due to size of suite). Credit report/proof of income/savings might be required.
