| Roommate wanted to share a spacious furnished 2-bedroom 1 1-bath apartment in Midtown AVAILABLE DATE: Immediate move in available PRICE: 1050 Water, heat included, and internet and hydro split ( between $50 - 75 for both) No parking available LOCATION: 5 minute walk from Yonge and Eglinton RENTAL TERMS: Off-lease roommate. Rent will be paid to myself. . RELATIONSHIP TO UNIT: Current tenant RENT CONTROL: Rent increases for this unit are capped at the annual provincial guideline because this unit was lived in before November 15, 2018. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: Landlord references Last month’s rent deposit Additional Information: I have a bedroom for rent (furnished or unfurnished) with wall to wall south facing windows (always bright!) Amazing location 5 minutes from the subway. The apartment is shared with me (27 F), my older cat and my golden retriever (Important that you are comfortable living with pets). My dog is very friendly and quiet, I do my best to keep the pet hair to a minimum, but there’s still some. I am a professional artist and aside from work, I love trying new food, cooking, walking my dog and reading. I’m happy to socialize, but respect others’ privacy and space as well. I’m cognizant of other people’s space/time and look to have the apartment reflective of a peaceful, safe space to hang out, relax and be creative. There isn’t air conditioning, but you are welcome to bring a window unit. Laundry is on every floor. The building is replacing the balconies and windows at the moment, but they are almost done. All the cutting on our side of the building is finished. There is construction noise between 9-5ish but they don't work on weekends, so for now the space if best suited for someone working during the day. I am seeking a roommate who is eager to collaborate on maintaining cleanliness in our shared areas (kitchen, bathroom, and living room) and communicates openly about apartment necessities. The private bedroom can come with a bed or you can bring all your own stuff, the rest of the apartment is fully furnished with all the essentials! I strive to be a minimalistic home where the clutter is manageable and things are clean. I prioritize maintaining an organized and clutter-free living space. It's important to me that my potential roommate is welcoming and inclusive, specifically being BIPOC, neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ friendly. While guests are always welcome, I kindly request no parties. Open communication is of high value to me, I strive to make the space an accepting and open-minded living environment. Accessibility: There are 5 steps to get into the lobby, so it is not greatly accessible. For the next couple of months, there is construction happening on the outside of the building, if you work a typical 9-5 this shouldn't be a problem with sound, I work from home part time and use white noise, and it's manageable.
