| Hello, I have a condo within a 3-minute walk of both the Distillery District and St. Lawrence Market in Downtown Toronto. Union Station is only a 15-minute walk and the financial district (Bay & Wellington Street) is about 15 minutes. George Brown is also within a 5-minute walk (both the Waterfront and the St. James campuses). Check out the map in the pictures. The condo building walks out to a park, soccer field, basketball court and multiple shops, gyms and grocery stores. The area is fantastic, especially in the summer. I loved this condo and the location. I lived here myself for about 2 years before buying another place a few blocks away. It is without a doubt my favourite part of the city given its community feel and proximity to the heart of the city, transit, and shops and restaurants. Overall the condo is about 900 square feet in total. The condo unit has 3 bedrooms, and the 2nd bedroom is available on May 1st until whenever is desired (short or long-term) with a minimum stay of 6 months. Both of the other bedrooms are rented to two separate young male professionals in their 20's. The address is 65 Scadding Ave., Toronto. The rent for the 2nd bedroom is only $925/month, all in (including all expenses and cable and internet). The bedroom is small but has a large window, a full (also called a double) sized bed, and a closet. The window overlooks the park and the condo has a ton of common area space to enjoy. The prices above include unlimited hi-speed internet, HD digital cable (with PVR), big screen HD TV, and heat, hydro etc. There are NO additional costs. Once you factor in the cable/internet costs ($170/month) & utilities ($160/month) that you would have to pay elsewhere it works out to a very low cost for a very large, fully-furnished bedroom in a great location with flexible terms. The condo is all high-end with one large, renovated bathroom. The entire condo is fully furnished including kitchen things. All you need to do is bring your clothes and personal things; nothing else is needed. The unit contains: Washer and dryer (within the unit, free to use), stainless steel appliances with dish washer, hard-wood floors throughout, granite countertops, completely furnished with kitchenware, and free unlimited high-speed internet and HD Cable. The building has an indoor pool & sauna, a beautiful lobby, and 24-hour concierge. Right across the street is a community centre with squash courts, an indoor basketball court and large lane pool. Our building has free guest parking that friends can use when they please. I think the ideal tenant would be a young male in his mid-20's that is either going to school nearby or that works full-time downtown. I think anyone who is kind, tidy and respectful will quickly become friends with the other guys. The process of choosing a roommate will be to connect with you over the phone, then meet in person at the condo to do a viewing.
