| Looking for a studio/1-bedroom rental property for myself & my registered service animal (8lbs, hypoallergenic, Chinese Creasted dog, highly-trained, no barking/biting/licking/scratching, & with me 99% of the time). Preference in the Pelham/St Catharines/Niagara Falls (Chippewa includes) area. Able to be move-in ready for month’s end. Furnished or Semi-Furnished would be ideal, & monthly rent price is somewhat workable either way. PS, to all of the potential landlords that have refused me basically upon a medical condition/disability that requires a service animal, although you’re able to refuse my tenancy for whatever reason, please be aware that you shouldn’t be disclosing that reasoning as it being “pet-related”. A registered service animal provided to me by our HealthCare system is just like me being in assisted living or 24/7 HomeCare. It is in fact illegal in Canada to refuse a service like this because of a disability whereby this option is best not only with mobility but also rather still remaining independent as a person. Thank-you on behalf of myself & the others I know of who seem to constantly run into these kinds of disabling issues. |
