| Available now - good size unfurnished room for rent, about 125 square feet, with built in wardrobe and good space for a desk, in the popular and walkable area of Mechanicsville/HIntonburg, close to Tunney's Pasture. Sharing with one male housemate, mid 30s, recently emigrated from Ireland. Open to any gender or orientation - LGBTQ+ friendly - as long as they're friendly and chill. The place is pretty spartan at the moment as I've not long gotten settled, but is very clean and has all the necessities, which will do while I furnish over the next 6 weeks or so. Comes with a parking spot which I don't use, but is a shared single laneway with neighbours so requires a little bit of coordination. Relaxed about pets but my girlfriend's dog will occasionally be over so your own will have to be ok being around a german shepherd mix (completely docile - total rollover) from time to time. I spend weekends at her place in Stittsville when she isn't working. I'm working trade hours at the moment as a carpenter so need someone who understands I can go to bed as early as 21:30 and can keep the volume down accordingly. I'll do the same - I can be up as early as 04:30 although I'll generally just make a coffee and head out the door. I'll do the bulk of the housework but would like someone who'll agree to share cleaning the bathroom alternate Sundays (or whichever day suits) and can otherwise just clean up after themselves. No smoking inside the house (out on the porch is fine). Comes with the mentioned parking spot, washer and dryer, and high speed internet. Require first and last month's rent.
