| Hi, this is a response to your room for rent ad. I like the room and the location matches my search criteria, if it is still available, here is the information about me. Currently I am living in a house for short term lease as the landlord needs to vacant the 2 rooms to accommodate their visiting parents and sibling from India in August before migrating to US shortly afterward, they contrive to rent the whole house to one family through a property management corporation. The landlord is from India and is a vegetarian, the couple is benign, empathetic and flexible, they waived the last month deposit, they treated me tasty Indian food from time to time, I love the corn meal cake and the pan cakes made from lentil flour and green bean flour. They like me and they never complain about my cooking but they did with the other tenant who did very heavy cooking with fish and bad spicy odour and has moved out. The window of my room has a pleasant view of the park, the bathroom is spotlessly clean without the eyesore of display of congested personal hygiene items, the bathtub is sparkling clean, it is a perfect home for me. I think the odd of finding another couple like them in conjunction with a pleasant living environment is like the odd of winning a lottery jackpot. Reference is available, I am looking for a room on the upper floor of a house or in a condo, a private bathroom or a shared bathroom with only one other tenant. My ethnic, education, career, income and credential: I am a Cantonese speaking Chinese Canadian grew up in Toronto as a teenager and graduated from University of Toronto with a degree in Electrical Engineering. I retired from a big electronic company in the aerospace industry after 31 year of service, my job involved testing and troubleshooting analog/digital printed circuit boards used in the Inertial Navigation Unit for commercial airplane and for military aircrafts (most of the PCB in the cockpit of Air Canada's airplanes were tested to strict specifications, troubleshot and fixed by me). I have steady and secure income, I will not lose my job and unable to pay my rent. Income statement is available on demand. I have an Equifax Credit Score of 802 which is rated as "excellent". My past residence: I sold my 8-year old condo at 50 Camden Street in downtown Toronto, moved to Mississauga for cleaner air and less traffic congestion, In the past 10 years I have been living in a leased condo in the Square One area. I have downsized to a rooming house with a short term lease. My landlords said I am the best tenant ever, as I helped him fixing problems in his unit and kept it in good shape, reference is available. I regret I didn't buy a condo with the $400K I made in the stock market because I was going through an environmental change crisis, I was not sure I wanted to stay in Mississauga permanently, besides, the housing market was crashing due to the subprime mortgage crisis in the US. Instead of buying a condo, I converted my RRSP into RRIF to provide me a steady monthly income supplement and leased a condo. While most retirees received GIS and other benefits, not only I was not qualify because of my high income, I had to pay $7,000 income tax annually in the past 10 years. To my dismay, expensive condo living and surging inflation of recent years have depleted my RRIF account that I need to downsize my rent. But I still own tons of stocks with tenbagger potential, now the economy is recovering from the economic downturn caused by the Pandemic and stock prices are rising, who knows, may be lightning will strike twice for me and this time I will do it right. My belongings: I have a single bed, a 6' folding desk, a 3'x2' table, a CRT TV, a microwave oven, 2 hot water dispensers and many apple boxes. I also have 3 mini frig (20" x 20" x 36"), I need to have them in my room for convenience, I don't need to use the shared and congested refrigerator in the kitchen. My cooking habit: I do very little cooking, I eat the same meals everyday: Oatmeal in the morning (done in my microwave oven) and chicken and rice in the early afternoon (all done in a rice cooker). I will not cause traffic congestion in the kitchen as I don't use the stove and my supper is finished long before others starting cooking their diner. My lifestyle: I am quiet, youthful looking, many people think I am in my 40's, in fact, I feel, talk and act as if I am so, may be I have found the "fountain of youth", if not the secret of immortality. I always keep my home spotlessly clean, I spent my time on the computer doing research and playing the stock market, listening to music, watching my collection of movies/films from a projector, posting music videos in Youtube for fun and passing time and go exercising/jogging in the woods twice weekly. I still wish to go camping and vacationing in the Caribbean after the hiatus. My desired living environment: I like a room with big, west facing sunny windows. I like a clear, clean and uncongested shared bathroom with a sparkling clean bathtub. A gym or in the vicinity of woods will be euphoric. Move in date: July 1 Lease term: one to four years.
