| A large room for rent in a non-smoking house located in a friendly nature-lover’s neighborhood in the west end of Kingston (near Taylor-Kidd and Bayridge). Available June 1st. On-site parking. Also on the bus route: 25 min. walk/ride to St. Lawrence and 40 min walk / ride to Queen’s campus. 20 min drive to Kingston General Hospital and 25 min drive to Hotel Dieu. 15 min drive to 401. I’m looking for an easy-going, responsible housemate to share with a retired ESL teacher and one other tenant. A person working full time or studying full time is a good fit. This bright room is approximately 13 x11 feet, with a picture window, coffee-coloured walls, hardwood floor, modern chestnut furniture, and a closet. It’s furnished with a queen bed, lots of drawers, and a desk that looks out over the park onto Collins Bay.. $725/month includes utilities, wifi, on-site parking, and shared space: laundry, kitchen, 1½ bathrooms, living room, dining room, deck, patio, large yard. (Sorry, no pets and no smoking.) $1,450 for first and last month's rent is required. $500 due up front as a non-refundable deposit to hold the room, and the remaining $950 due on move-in day. A written agreement lays out the details that keep the household running smoothly. Preliminaries will be handled by email, then phone, and finally viewing for the most appropriate applicants. Because of circulating viruses, you will need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccinations, be willing to comply with any further shots that are mandated or recommended, also test and be prepared to isolate after you have been on planes, in airports, and other large groups such as sports events, concerts, weddings…. Proof of income, and references, are also required. |
