| I am a professional individual relocating from Montreal to Toronto for a job offer. I’m looking for a single-occupancy apartment preferably in the Etobicoke area, either a one-room or bachelor, ideally close to metro and/or bus lines. While I understand that rents can be high in the city, I don’t accept the idea that paying $1800 for a tiny box-sized apartment is just part of modern life. Instead, I’m on the lookout for that one-in-a-million opportunity where affordability meets quality living. I know it’s a challenge, but all I can do is keep asking until I find that one “yes.” Here’s what I offer: • I am meticulously clean, quiet, and do not party or have people over. • In exchange for lower rent, I can assist with general maintenance and upkeep around the external unit, including tasks like raking, snow shoveling, and taking out the garbage. • I can provide excellent references from my current landlord and previous landlords if requested. • I am hoping to move in mid-October and am willing to pay for the full month of October rent. Sarcastic or unhelpful comments need not respond, as I’m fully aware of how seemingly ridiculous my request might sound. However, I genuinely appreciate anyone who can offer direct assistance, accommodations, or point me in the right direction toward finding what I’m looking for.
