| Perfect for students, summer interns and visiting researchers! Furnished room to rent in rooming house (3 room home) with use of common spaces. This room also has a large walk-in closet / dressing room / office space. Room includes bed, closet, dresser and lamp. 8 minute drive / 40 min walk to NSCC. Available May 1 - Aug 31, 2025 with potential for a longer stay. 1 person / room. Currently has 2 other roommates. For responsible and respectful individuals wishing to live in an inclusive environment. Bedding and towels can also be provided if needed. Common areas include a kitchen, washroom (toilet with bidet, bath tub, shower) and a dining room / living room. There is also a basement with a washer and dryer and space for sorting recycling. This is a century home, which comes with some quirks. Utilities (power, water, heat) are included in the cost of the room. Oil heat and two heat pumps in the house. Cleaning supplies are provided. House has high-speed internet and television in living room with google chrome-cast. Space for parking on-site. Tenants share in the task of sorting recycling and garbage and taking it to the curb the evening before each collection day, as well as shovelling the steps in the winter after each snowfall. People living in the house will be expected to keep their own space clean and to equally share in the cleaning of shared spaces. Occasional additional cleaning may be provided in common areas. At present, we have an individual cleaning common spaces once every 2 weeks. No additional pets (there will be one cat living in the house), non-smokers only, no parties, no subletting rooms. $375 security deposit.
