| Hi folks! Read until the end. Available July 1. Month to month. I'm looking for a laid back and respectful roommate to join my big happy dog Spruce and I at our "cottage in the city" in Dartmouth. Located just off Portland Street, my home is in a quiet and friendly neighbourhood within walking distance of all amenities and bus routes. I live in a pretty walkable community: 15 minutes to downtown Dartmouth, 5 minutes to the grocery store, and 10 minutes to Oathill Lake for a swim. Please note: The room comes modestly furnished with a bed, dresser, and side tables. All utilities are included in the rent, including wi-fi. About me (Justin; he/him): I'm a 35 year-old who runs two non-profit organizations out of the home. I work from home but am out and about quite often. I'm interested in camping, gardening, and communing with friends. About the home: Built in the 1940s, this little home feels more like a cottage, and I purposely keep it that way. The main floor has a big kitchen, and the living room is cozy, with a big wood stove as the "entertainment station". I heat the house almost exclusively with wood, and there's a big wood shed outdoors. The backyard is fully fenced in and has a brick fireplace for outdoor fires and cooking. There's a utility shed for tinkering, and a deck on the backyard for hanging out. The basement has a half bath and a spare room that is used to host visitors. There's some storage available in the basement. I've built raised bed gardens in the front and back of the house and there are plenty of opportunities for gardening. My backyard is surrounded by forest, making it feel like you're in the country. There is parking space for your vehicle if you have one. About you: You're tidy and respectful of your living spaces. You don't mind socializing but you're not up at all hours of the night. You like dogs.
