| Hi :) I'm looking for a roommate to move in sometime either in August or September. My current roommate is moving back home and I'm looking for someone to take over her room! She will be taking all of the furniture in her room (except for the desk) so, the room will be unfurnished. The room available is the first room pictured. It is a well sized room that comfortably fits a double bed, a large desk, chair and a dresser. It also has a really large closet. The last picture is an ad for the apartment from the 1950's! A little bit about the place: - located off of North River Rd and Montreal Rd (Vanier area) - 8 minute bike ride or 25 minute walk to uOttawa (beautiful commute on the Rideau River Pathway!) - 2 minute walk to a #14, 18, 12 and 15 bus stop - 2 minute walk from the Rideau River Pathway (gorgeous walk/bike path along the Rideau River) - 3 minute walk to closest grocery store (Green Fresh Market), 10 minute walk to Loblaws (McArthur St.) and 4 minute walk to Shoppers Drug Mart - located on the 2nd floor of a small apartment building (unfortunately there is no elevator so this is not an accessible apartment) - card operated laundry room and very large storage unit in the basement (I also have a mini washing machine and drying rack in the apartment which you'd be welcome to use!) - lots (and lots!) of closet space and storage - lots of natural light (nice big windows!) - safe and quiet street (really nice neighborhood and lots of friendly neighbors!) A little bit about me: My name is Mona and I’m a queer Iranian cis woman, food and nutrition student (uOttawa), part-time jewelry and craft maker, deep taurus, avid baker, and lover of bikes. I am looking for a roommate who is tidy/organized and is a direct and consistent communicator. It would be dreamy if you were also as excited about food, cooking/ and or baking as I am and if we could bond about our favourite recipes. I am also hoping that you are 2SLGBTQIA+ identified and are politically engaged. 2SQTBIPOC and queer femmes of colour to the front please (but everyone welcome)! I have lived in this apartment for 2 years and I really love it. Looking forward to meeting a new person who hopefully loves it as much as I do! |
